—Discussing the benefits of the Speed Totem
|
The Speed Totem was a totem of undying on Halfast.
When held in either hand, the totem allowed one to move +0.03 faster, leading to a 30% increase in walking speed, sprinting speed, and jump distance. This result was faster than the effect of a Potion of Swiftness I but slower than Swiftness II and the equivalent of the difference between walking speed and sprinting speed.
Like all totems, if held the Speed Totem also allowed the user to survive otherwise fatal injuries, regenerating their health and removing the effects of any magical or alchemical spells.
The Speed Totem could not be crafted, but it could be obtained by unlocking a prize crate at Top Survivor Hall with a Top Survivor Key received from winning Top Survivor. In the 12th Era the totem was one of the available rewards from the Top Voters prize crate, which was unlocked with a key earned by finishing in the top three on the monthly voting leaderboard.

The following is out-of-universe information about real-world Halfast.
The enchanted glint on the Speed Totem was due to a hidden Mending enchantment that was otherwise useless on a totem of undying.
