Alarrick was the Loremaster, second of his rank
“ | Tox: hi Jinx, good to see you became a citizen Jinx: how do you get other things before your name? Is it earnt? Tox: Kinda. Veteran is a tag you get for playing on a previous map after a year. So like, if/when we reset you'd become a vet next January Tox: then there's Elite which can be purchased for 16 ingots in Snowcrest and lasts for...6 hours I think? Tox: You use it for getting more claimblocks, making it daytime, that sort of thing Gabault: or clearing all the angry piggies in the dragon temple Tox: There's no donator ranks here or anything like that |

—Jinx asks about Ranks
|
Ranks formed the official hierarchical order of Dragonhollow and Halfast, reflecting one's abilities, accomplishments, authority, and responsibilities.
While some ranks were honorary, most conferred special privileges on those that held them. Ranks on Dragonhollow were solely achieved and bestowed through actions. However, some ranks on Halfast were purchased via outside means.
List of Ranks[]
Anarchist[]
"The top 5 survivors at the end of August will receive the exclusive "Anarchist" tag in the new season’s map. Show everyone that you survived the chaos!"
Anarchists attained the rank by finishing in the top five of Novigrad Survivor's final month during Anarchy, a period in which all laws were suspended and existing land claims were removed.
Ancient[]
"These were veterans who arrived in Lakeview Village during Dragonhollow's First Era."
—From the Wiki
|

Panda, also called Seudo, was an Ancient who could trace his origin back to the earliest days of Dragonhollow
Ancients were residents who arrived on Dragonhollow during the First Era.
It was purely decorative and conferred no special privileges or abilities, nor did it supersede existing ranks. Anyone who set foot in the Lakelands during the First Era was eligible regardless of other ranks—among known ancients were visitors, citizens, and veterans alike.
The rank was based upon a suggestion from MaccaMan who felt older residents with years of experience deserved a higher rank to distinguish themselves from recent veterans. Acey dismissed the request but it was later granted by the historian Tox for the purposes of the Wiki, though she nor her Priesthood ever officially endorsed it.
Arbiter of Halfast[]

Jinx was an Arbiter of Halfast
"The server architect builds requested buildings and such for the server. They have the commands /mute and /kick to help manage the chat/gameplay."
Arbiters of Halfast were residents of Halfast empowered by HyperSilence to carry out his will and help with the administrative tasks. They had the ability to silence and banish those who violated his rules, but otherwise operated as normal members of the community.
Architect of Eris[]
- Main article: Architect of Eris

Sleekit was named an Architect of Eris for his exceptional design talents
"The server architect builds requested buildings and such for the server. They have the commands /mute and /kick to help manage the chat/gameplay."
Architects of Eris were members of the Priesthood of Eris tasked with building projects by Acey herself. They were expected to be proficient in a number of design styles and capable of working quickly to meet deadlines.
The Architect was also an ordained Priest of Eris, given the same responsibilities and granted the same abilities so that they might assist with the administration of Dragonhollow where needed.
Archpriest of Eris[]
- Main article: Archpriest of Eris

The longest serving Archpriest of Eris was HyperSilence
"Primarly manages community and performs the upkeep of rules & regulations on Dragonhollow. Their tasks include but are not limited to: Enforcing rules in Dragonhollow, hosting/creating community events, resolving player issues, ensuring managers are performing their duties and not abusing their position, recruiting & training new staff members if necessary, and keeping the boss updated on recent events and/or emergencies. In the absence of the owner, they have collective authority over Dragonhollow and it’s operations."
—Acey
|
The Archpriest or Archpriestess of Eris was head of the Priesthood of Eris and Acey's right hand, second-in-command over Dragonhollow and regent in her absence.
The rank increasingly grew in power over the years as Acey's disappearances became longer and more frequent until the Archpriest could no longer be considered merely mortal but a demigod of considerable capability.
Citizen[]
"When you’re ready, you can become a Citizen. As a Citizen, you can do everything you’ve done as a Visitor as well as a couple of perks."
—Acey
|

The first registered citizen was DragonLegends
Citizen was the most common rank in Dragonhollow and formed the basis for most rights and privileges.
As a citizen, residents were able to adopt nicknames, receive prizes in events, and obtain Elite status. Upon being granted citizenship, they received 750 bonus claimblocks.
During the First Era and early Second Era, becoming a citizen involved completing a series of tasks for Eris that promoted the community. On 2E:77, Eris introduced a formal process for applying for citizenship through the Forum. All existing citizens were grandfathered in.
In the Second Era, citizenship was required to apply for a Passport that permitted airship travel to the Woodlands.
Citizenship was a requirement to be considered for inclusion on the White List during the Dark Age.
Only citizens were eligible to earn prizes from the Survivor competitions.
Acey penned a manual entitled Citizenship breaking down the prerequisites and benefits.
On Halfast, citizenship was granted through the faster-than-light communications network Discord and carried claimblock bonuses and the purely aesthetic ability to emit particle patterns.
Elder[]
"There are no specific requirements to earn this rank at this time, other than being on the server for a very, very long time."

Boo was an Elder, having been active on both Dragonhollow and Halfast
Elders were veterans who were active on both Dragonhollow and Halfast.
It was a ceremonial rank with no additional privileges and completely optional; some wore the rank publicly and proudly while others preferred titles that were less
During the Eighth Era, Jrod proposed that that refugees from Dragonhollow receive the rank of Elder to distinguish them from those merely who earned their veteran rank while on Halfast, receiving endorsements from E1ite, Seudo, Jinx, Lex and Azureila. At the time, the motion was ignored by the colony's leader HyperSilence, but years later when Novigrad was settled he implemented the Elder rank but attached no exact requirements other than one having been around for a "very, very long time."
Elite[]
- Main article: Elite (rank)
"Elite is a limited-time status of 6 hours which will give you perks and abilities in the game."
—Acey
|

As Acey's test subject, Azureila was first to receive Elite Status
Elite, also known as Elite Status, was a temporary rank lasting six hours that granted access to the Elite Control Panel and certain special privileges.
Elite was introduced on 1E:10 with the unveiling of the first ECP at Lakeview Town Hall.
Originally, the rank could be obtained by any citizen with at least 30 levels of XP at a cost of 16 gold ingots, though the levels themselves were kept by the buyer. By the Fourth Era, the XP requirement had been dropped and the price increased to 24 gold ingots. During the Seventh Era, the cost was lowered back to 16 gold ingots.
Due to the absence of the Elite Control Panel, Elite was unavailable in the Badlands and Hallowmere.
Explorer[]
"Acey has released a new town by the name of Snowcrest. With a thirst for curiosity, fame, and romanticism, many travelers have set out in search of the town. "What does this new town have to offer?" you may ask. With Summergate being slowly drained of local resources, Snowcrest offers a better opportunity for new people. After a long trek through the wilderness, several groups have arrived and claimed their titles as Explorers."

Residents who were able to find the ancient frozen city of Snowcrest were granted the rank of Explorer
Explorer was a rank granted to residents of the Summerlands who successfully completed the Search for Snowcrest and reached Snowcrest. It temporarily became their primary listed rank.
The rank was received by clicking a sign at Snowcrest Town Hall, whereupon the resident was able to drop off a written book that chronicled their journey to find the frozen city.
After the conclusion of the event on 4E:145, the rank of Explorer expired.
Ghost[]
"There is an after life in Dragonhollow, but fortunately for you, Grim doesn’t want you there."
—Acey
|

Champ was the first ghost but certainly not the last
Ghosts were residents whose physical bodies were exiled from Dragonhollow and their immortal souls banished to the Underworld, becoming one of many disembodied souls who haunted Dragonhollow.
The rank was used as a punishment reserved only for the most heinous of criminals who violated the Edicts of Eris and could only be levied by the highest ranking members of the Priesthood of Eris.
Ghosts were stripped of all existing ranks, lost the right to speak in the Forum, and in some cases were prevented from using the faster-than-light communications network Discord.
Hegemon[]

Retro was Dragonhollow's lone Hegemon
"I'm down with Hegemon."
—Retro accepts his new title
|
The Hegemon was the chosen successor and ultimate representative of Acey following her departure on a journey across the stars. As such, the Hegemon was granted extraordinary powers that transformed them into a god rivaling Eris herself.
They were not a part of the Priesthood of Eris but rather above it, commanding their worship as befitting her most trusted delegate.
Historian[]
"These are the people that chronicle the great rise (and inevitable fall) of DragonHollow and its members in their full glory. They also usually have beards."
Historian was a unique rank in the Priesthood of Eris bestowed upon Tox by the Hegemon Retro for his work with the Historical Society and its Wiki encyclopedia.
To aid in chronicling Dragonhollow's past and current events, the Historian was granted access to powerful tools for observing the planet unnoticed.
Honorifics[]
- Main article: Honorific
"In the past, Acey gave players unique colored titles as part of their names. Every player had an equal chance to receive one, they'd just have to do something notable that caught her eye.
—Terry explains honorifics

Honorifics were special titles granted by Eris and her Priesthood in recognition of certain actions and various feats.
They awarded no additional privileges to residents.
To be considered for an honorific, the resident in question had to have obtained their citizenship.

They were led by the Archpriest of Eris.
Though their abilities were heavily restricted in the early years, like most institutions on the planet their power grew over time as Acey increasingly delegated authority.

—Acey reassures that Survivor rank is temporary
|
Every resident of the Badlands was automatically granted the rank of Survivor.
From 4E:417 to 4E:425, the rank superseded all others meaning that newcomers and veterans alike shared the same status.
At the beginning of the Fifth Era, the Badlands were abandoned, all previously held ranks were restored, and the Survivor rank was eliminated.
Telchine[]

Telchines were wizards employed by Acey whose magical mastery earned them a place in her Priesthood of Eris. They assisted in the administration of mechanics affecting every day life of the planet's residents, with much of their work remaining unseen by mortals.
Telchines were also ordained Priests of Eris, given the same responsibilities and granted the same abilities so that they might assist with the administration of Dragonhollow where needed.
Veteran[]
"Being Veteran is awesome! I remember when I first logged onto the server. I had so much fun and enjoyed the community so much that I stayed."

Absurd was a veteran of Dragonhollow
The rank of Veteran was awarded to long-standing citizens of Dragonhollow.
Requirements to become a veteran varied over time. When it was first introduced during the Second Era, most citizens who had been residents of the Lakelands received the rank and afterward citizens of previous eras were also promoted. This was later amended to also require at least one year of citizenship.
However, the rank was not automatic and many citizens who qualified for veteranship were either never granted it or received it later than expected.
Veterans were eligible for a variety of perks including bonus claimblocks, the ability to wear most blocks as a hat, and to emit particle trials.
Acey penned a manual entitled Veteranship breaking down the prerequisites and benefits.
In later years, citizens had to apply for veteran during the first few weeks of a new era or forgo the rank until the following era. Under the leadership of the Hegemon Retro, this process was eliminated and the historian Tox was placed in charge of determining who was eligible for veteranship
On Halfast, anyone who had previously been a resident of Dragonhollow prior to the Eighth Era automatically received the rank of veteran. Afterwards, HyperSilence granted the rank to anyone active across multiple eras or after a prolonged period of activity.
Visitor[]
"In Dragonhollow, you start off as a Visitor. As the visitor, you can set out, claim your land and build your base. You have everything you need to get started and keep surviving."
—Acey
|

BurgerDaddy refused to apply for citizenship, remaining a Visitor across several eras
All residents automatically received the Visitor rank upon arriving in Dragonhollow.
Despite being the lowest rank possible, Visitors were able to claim property with the golden shovel, vote, and participate in Forum discussions.
Nevertheless, occasional travelers complained about feeling forced to apply for citizenship.
Some residents such as BurgerDaddy voluntarily chose to remain Visitors by never applying for citizenship.
Rarely, the rank was used as a punishment, as was the case with Jrod, who was demoted to Visitor by HyperSilence in the Fifth Era as part of his probation for using forbidden sorcery.

—Acey vows Dragonhollow will never have donator ranks
|

Server owner Acey wanted Dragonhollow to be free of pay-to-win mechanics, rewarding hard work and perseverance
One of the foundational principles Acey created Dragonhollow upon was the idea that players would never be able to receive in-game ranks or perks by paying real-world currency. She wanted everything to be earned and achieved through actions on the server itself.
In the earliest days of DH there were only two ranks—owner and admin. In the weeks to come she would introduce citizenship and the position of head admin. When the first map reset occurred, she granted all players who had played prior to that the new rank of veteran, and thereafter added a requirement that a year must pass between registration date for citizens to receive their veteran tags.
Specialized administrative ranks like Architect and Loremaster were eventually implemented.
In the years to follow Acey would create temporary ranks for special events or maps, but the handful of core ranks remained the same, even if their names occasionally changed—admins became community managers and head admins became directors.
In 2017, Acey switched to a minimized UI look for Dragonhollow that eliminated rank prefixes in favor of color-coding, a change that Retro retained when he became co-owner of the server with HyperSilence.
Tox created in-universe lore names for the purposes of this wiki. The administration became the Priesthood of Eris, a religious order worshiping Acey's alter ego Eris, and the head admin was referred to as the Archpriest of Eris. Retro came up with Telchine, a lore name for the server developers, and later he brainstormed with Tox for the Hegemon rank.
When HyperSilence opened his Half-Assed server in the summer of 2019, he retained many of the same ranks as the player base had come accustomed to during their time playing on Dragonhollow. He later added premium ranks that provided special perks to those who paid a monthly fee without allowing them to gain strategic advantages over the rest of the playerbase.
