GhostlyPink: So what did you really think of the Castle so far?
Dap: Oh, that castle was huge!
Dap: An impressive feat in this world for sure
Dap: I liked the companion cube too :)
Dap impressed with Aperture

Aperture was a castle in the Hammerlands during Dragonhollow's Seventh Era serving as the residence of GhostlyPink and Chairty.

Though the married couple already had a functioning farmstead, on 7E:28 the bandit chieftan Wiz used the Player Tracker to find it and murder them. Both determined that they would need defensible walls if they were to survive in the months to come.

They scouted potential locations and found a cluster of ruins in an open plain, offering plenty of room and good sightlines. The site was near the terminus of the Hammerlands Railway's North Line, but not so close as to be seen from it. Their nearest neighbors—Sprankles and Dap—were courteous and had little interest in war.

The women established a foothold position and then raided the ruins for treasure and then demolished the structures for raw materials to use in building the castle.

Over the next few weeks, the outer stone brick walls were laid down and terraforming was begun within as they dug down, sinking the inner foundations well below ground level. While mining for more construction supplies, they broke into a vast series of chambers and several mob spawners, which they incorporated into the castle as cellars and developed the spawners a lucrative XP farm.

By 7E:60, work commenced on the castle's central fortified nexus, Companion Keep, a large square tower built from diorite, prismarine, and featuring large pink glass windows carved into the shape of hearts. The keep housed beds, workshops, and storage.

Pink and Chairty then began focusing on the interior grounds, establishing wooden battlements and walkways and courtyards.

On 7E:103, six days after the Hegemon Retro announced that the end of Dragonhollow was nigh with the coming arrival of Nyx, Pink and Chairty chose to abandon Aperture. To prevent it from falling victim to bandits and looters, they set off explosives along the central foundation. The controlled demolition blew apart Companion Keep and destroyed the valuables within, guaranteeing no one could profit from their hard work.
